Important Instructions Before Your Health Checkup

To ensure accurate results and a smooth checkup experience, please follow these guidelines before undergoing your health screening:

  • Get enough sleep – At least 6 hours of rest before your checkup is essential.
  • Fasting is required – Avoid food and drinks (except water) for 8 to 10 hours before tests such as FBS, Lipid Profile, Renal Profile, and Liver Profile.
  • Stay hydrated – Drinking water is encouraged, especially before FBC, ESR, CRP, and Renal Profile tests.
  • Avoid alcohol – Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before the checkup, as it may affect Liver Profile and Lipid Profile results.
  • Continue essential medications – If you are on hypertension or other prescribed medications, take them as directed by your doctor.
  • Bring medical records – If you have a history of chronic illnesses or past medical conditions, bring any relevant reports for accurate diagnosis, especially for ECG, Chest X-ray, TMT, ECO, and Medical Examination.
  • Wear comfortable clothing – Loose-fitting clothes are recommended for ECG, Chest X-ray, TMT, and US Abdomen. Avoid wearing metal accessories or jewelry for X-ray procedures.
  • Avoid strenuous activity – Refrain from excessive physical exercise for at least 24 hours before tests like ECG, TMT, and Medical Examination.
  • US Abdomen – Drink plenty of water and avoid urinating before the scan for better imaging. Avoid fatty foods the night before.
  • Chest X-ray – Pregnant women or those who suspect pregnancy should inform the medical team beforehand.
  • TMT (Treadmill Test) – Wear comfortable sportswear and running shoes. Avoid heavy meals at least 2 hours before the test.
  • Basic Vision Check – If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring them for the checkup.
